The Friends of Glencoe Scouting is an Illinois-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose primary mission is to support Glencoe’s Troop 28 Scouts and Pack 28 Cub Scouts.

Scouting America adventures often require substantial travel, equipment, and activity fees. Friends of Glencoe Scouting supports our Scouts and Cub Scouts in the form of individual scholarships for large expenses such as summer camps, as well as for equipment such as tents and trailers.

Many adults have asked how they can contribute to Troop 28 or Pack 28 to help our Scouts succeed. This is not a solicitation for donations by Glencoe’s Scouting groups, which may not solicit funds. Rather, Friends of Glencoe Scouting is an independent nonprofit that can accept donations on behalf of Troop 28 and Pack 28. All donations made to Friends of Glencoe Scouting will be used to support Troop 28 and Pack 28, and are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Our leadership is comprised of several adult leaders from Troop 28 and Pack 28, including Andrew Hayek, President, and Benjamin Miller, Vice President and Treasurer.
